Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 11, 2026

Important: This Privacy Policy explains how AI Marketplace handles personal data and related information. It is written for an India-based service and is intended to reflect the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 as applicable and as they come into force. It is not a substitute for legal advice.

1. Who We Are

AI Marketplace is an online directory and discovery platform for AI tools, community content, opportunities, prompts, news and related features. For personal data covered by applicable Indian data-protection law, AI Marketplace acts as the entity responsible for the relevant processing described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

3. Why We Process Information

We process information only for specified and legitimate purposes, including providing and securing the platform, authenticating accounts, displaying content, operating AI chat, enforcing usage limits, responding to requests, improving performance, measuring usage, preventing abuse, complying with legal obligations and, where applicable, showing advertising.

4. Legal Basis, Consent and Your Choices

Where consent is required by applicable law, we will seek consent in a clear and specific manner and provide a practical way to withdraw it. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawfully completed before withdrawal and may affect our ability to provide features that require the relevant data.

We aim to use clear, plain-language notices describing the personal data involved and the purpose for which it is processed. You should not submit information that you do not want the platform or its relevant service providers to process.

5. AI Assistant and Third-Party AI Processing

The AI assistant may send your question, relevant conversation context and, when enabled and selected by you, an uploaded image to the configured AI provider. AI-generated answers can be inaccurate and should be independently verified for important decisions. Do not submit passwords, payment-card details, authentication codes, highly sensitive personal information or other information you do not want processed by the AI provider.

The administrator may configure the AI provider, model, endpoint and retention-related settings. The relevant provider may process submitted data under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not represent that AI-generated output is professional legal, medical, financial or other regulated advice.

6. Firebase, Hosting and Other Service Providers

We use third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the website, authentication, database, analytics, advertising and related functions. These providers may process information on our behalf or independently according to their contractual role and policies.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

AI Marketplace may use browser local storage for preferences, theme settings, chat history and usage counters. Authentication, analytics and advertising technologies may also use cookies or similar technologies. You can control cookies through your browser and, where provided, through available consent or advertising controls. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent some features from working.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal data as a business practice. We may disclose or make data available to service providers needed to operate the platform, to other parties when you intentionally publish information publicly, to protect users and the service, or when required by law, legal process or a lawful government direction.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information, including access controls, authentication, database security rules and transport encryption where supported by our infrastructure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If you discover a security or privacy issue, please contact us promptly rather than publicly exposing private information.

10. Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, service operation, security, dispute handling and legal obligations, subject to applicable law. Some records may remain for a limited period after an account or feature is deleted where required for security, fraud prevention, accounting or legal compliance.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law and any statutory limitations, you may have rights concerning access to information about your personal data, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, grievance redressal and other rights provided by applicable data-protection law. Requests should identify the account or information involved without unnecessarily sending sensitive documents or credentials.

12. Children and Minors

Where a user is a child under applicable law, processing of personal data is subject to the additional requirements applicable to children, including consent or other protections required by law. We do not knowingly use children's personal data for targeted advertising or other prohibited purposes. If you believe information relating to a child has been collected improperly, contact us so that we can review the request.

13. Public User Content

Information you deliberately publish in public areas of AI Marketplace may be visible to other users and may be indexed or copied by search engines or other services. Do not publish personal contact information, secrets, credentials or other information that you intend to keep private.

14. International Processing

Some service providers may process information on infrastructure located outside India. Where applicable, such processing will be handled subject to the requirements of Indian law and the contractual and technical safeguards applicable to the relevant provider.

15. Grievances and Contact

For privacy questions, data requests or grievances, contact the AI Marketplace team at contact@ai-marketplace.in. We may need reasonable information to verify and respond to a request. If a dedicated grievance officer or other statutory contact is appointed, their details will be published here or through the relevant contact channel.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our services, processing activities, third-party providers or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where applicable law requires notice or consent for a material change, we will use the legally required process.

17. Applicable Law

This policy is intended to operate with applicable laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, as applicable and as they come into force. Other laws may apply depending on the feature, transaction, user location or nature of the data involved.
